The Ward Academy for Girls welcomes you to it's website. The Ward Academy for Girls is a vibrant elementary school located at 96 Clay Street, Monrovia, Liberia. The school is committed to the premise that young Liberian girls, if given the proper educational tools and experience; if prepared academically for the opportunities of the 21st century; and if equipped to play an important role in an international world, can become strong leaders, equaling and perhaps surpassing the success and contributions of their male counterparts.
We strive to make the educational process student-centered in order to aid students in applying thinking skills critically and creatively to make sound decisions, to solve problems, to practice democracy and leadership, to be tolerant of difference among their classmates and develop communication skills.
